Foie Gras Recipe with Le Fermier Basque Blend!

Michelin Chef's Foie gras recipe, using Le Fermier!

Foie gras is a popular and well-known delicacy in French cuisine, especially during Christmas!

Here I've used the to make it taste extra fresh and a little spicy to to bring the different flavors together!

The ingredients are:

* 3 baguette slices , cut on an angle
* 1 mango, diced
* 2 figs , 1 of them diced
* 1/2 brown onion
* 2 clove garlic
* 1/2 teaspoon basque blend
* 4 tablespoon sherry vinegar
* 2 tablespoon brown sugar
* 1/3 cup water
* 1 tin foie gras
* 6 sprigs thyme

Method:

1. For the chutney, start by cooking the onion and garlic with a drizzle of olive oil for a few minutes until softened.
2. Add the mango, fig and stir. Then add the vinegar, brown and water, stir, and cook for about 15-20 minutes on medium heat.
3. Brush the baguette slices with some olive oil and toast them in a pan un til golden on each side
4. Use the remaining fig to decorate the “tartine” ( baguette toast) .
